World Chamber of Commerce elected
Board of Directors 2010-2012
(Atlanta,
GA.) April 15, 2010. The World Chamber of Commerce (WCC) has elected
the WCC Board of Directors for 2010-2012. The election includes new WCC
President, Secretary, Treasurer and Board members.
They were
elected by the WCC members. The election process was supervised by the
WCC Election Committee. It should be noted the Board of Directors
2010-2012 include the current WCC Honorary Chairman and Chairman of the
Board, elected less than two years ago. The newly elected WCC
Board of Directors will start on their roles on May 1st, 2010.

Consul George Novak, WCC President 2010-2012:
George A.
Novak was appointed the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in
Atlanta in March 1992 and elevated to the Honorary Consul General in
2002. He has a Master's Degree in Architectural Engineering from
Brno, Czechoslovakia. In 1983, he founded a construction management
consultancy providing services to mostly foreign and predominantly
German industrial clients. In 2002,
George became consultant to Gleeds, a worldwide UK project consultancy
firm with headquarters in London. As a member of the International
Committee of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, George has participated
in many seminars in Europe promoting Georgia. He served as a member of
the advisory board of the German American Chamber, led the founding
group of the Belgian American Chamber, and served 4 years as the
Attaché of the Czech Olympic Committee for 1996 Olympic Games in
Atlanta.

honored by the trust the WCC has in me and I hope to do well in
continuing Solange Warner's exemplary work of developing the WCC from
scratch to where it is now." said Consul Novak, newly appointed WCC
President.

"It has been
an extraordinary journey in my life to have founded the World Chamber
of Commerce in 2008, and lead it as President during my two year term.
In that capacity I have had the honor to work with accomplished leaders
and experts in all sectors and areas of the world. The WCC has had many
successes, such as the WCC Meet the World in Atlanta Symposium and
Gala, the International Trade Seminars, WCC Humanitarian Project: Human
Trafficking Awareness to Keep Atlanta Safe" campaign, and WCC
Radio Show, among others. I would like to thank the Board of Directors,
and other volunteers for their support on accomplishing the WCC goals.
Particularly, I am thankful to Ambassador Andrew Young, WCC Honorary
Chairman and former Commissioner Craig Lesser, WCC Chairman of the
Board, for their support to the WCC.

The World Chamber of Commerce Haiti Relief Effort volunteers spent
several days helping survivors and returned home to a heroes' welcome.
The WCC Haiti Relief Effort heroes will discuss their aid to survivors
in devastated Haiti. The WCC and the international community will
recognize them, creating awareness on how other organizations,
businesses and individuals can assist as well.
Atlanta, GA. The World Chamber of Commerce and Ambassador Reda Mansour,
Dean of the Consular Corps of Georgia, on behalf of the international
community, will recognize Haiti Relief Efforts pilot, Scott Dorfman and
volunteer, Joseph Verlus, providing aid to Haiti. They returned from
Haiti this week, after flying from Peachtree Dekalb airport to Haiti
with medicine, food and other needed supplies for the earthquake
victims.
"Their most significant moment in Haiti was being part of the miracle
rescue of Darlene Etienne, 16, who survived for 15 days trapped in her
school after the earthquake caused it to crumble around her", said
volunteer Joseph Verlus.
