The Honorable Ambassador Andrew Young

Honorary Chairman

Ambassador Young is a founding principal and Co-Chairman of GoodWorks International. He has brought his long-held mission of facilitating economic development in the Caribbean and in Africa to an active role in GoodWorks. Ambassador Young has held a wide variety of leadership positions over the past several decades. Beginning his career as an ordained minister and top aide to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in the civil rights movement, he went on to be elected to three terms as a United State Congressman before being appointed as the United States' Ambassador to the United Nations. Subsequently, he served two terms as the Mayor of Atlanta and assumed a leadership position as Co-Chairman of the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. In 1994, President Bill Clinton appointed Ambassador Young as Chairman of the $100 million Southern Africa Enterprise Development Fund.
Ambassador Young travels extensively to meet with officials and other individuals interested in improving the economic situation in Africa and the Caribbean. He has headed numerous missions to the continent of Africa and continues to use his extensive network to facilitate new business developments. His interest in international affairs is not limited to Africa and the Caribbean. He speaks and attends conferences focusing on global affairs. Ambassador Young remains active in community matters. He often sets time aside to speak at various schools and universities on a range of issues. He participates in events that foster sound public policy, economic development, human rights and education.

Solange Warner

Founder

SolangeWarner is the CEO, president and founder of Ashton International, a prominent consulting firm www.ashtoninternationaltrade.com. This firm provides in-depth international trade consulting, including market and feasibility studies, international lead generation, product implementation, and international representation. The U.S. Department of Commerce recently awarded Ashton International for export achievement, associated with accomplishments in the Global Market Place.
Solange has over 20 years experience in international markets, working previously as a senior manager for Multinational Accounts at American Express for 7 years. She managed Fortune 500 Multinational corporations. Previously she lived in Europe and before she lived in Miami, where she owned and directed S&S travel, a successful travel agency located in Coral Gables.
Solange obtained her International Business Degree at American Intercontinental University with Summa cum laude accolades. She speaks Spanish, Portuguese and English fluently and has knowledge of French, German and Italian. Solange is originally from Chile and has traveled extensibly throughout 52 countries. Furthermore, Solange is a member of the National Scholars Honor Society.

Dan Moss, Jr.

Vice President

Dan was one of the first CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioners in the United States and has been a financial advisor for over 35 years. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, where he majored in economics and political science. Dan had taught investment classes at Emory University's Center for Lifelong Learning for over 30 years. His professional focus is advising families and retirement plan trustees on investment and financial planning. He is also Vice President and Treasurer of the World Chamber of Commerce, which is based in Atlanta.

Miroslava Torres-Young

Treasurer

Ms. Torres-Young, Vice President of Business Development and Senior Relationship Manager at Sunrise Bank-Atlanta, is responsible for generating new banking relationships and designing personalized banking solutions for individuals and business clients, benefiting entrepreneurs and international business professionals. Fluent in Spanish and English, Ms. Torres-Young is a native of Ecuador and brings 25 years of banking experience helping International business professionals and individuals to establish credit, acclimate to US business, and maintains heavy involvement with Bi-lateral chambers of commerce, Consulate Corp, Trade offices, immigration attorneys, CPA's and various domestic and International organizations.
Ms. Torres-Young serves on the World Trade Center-Atlanta (WTC), executive Board, The World of Chamber of Commerce (WCC), executive Board, The Mexican American Business Chamber (MABC), Board member, Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, (BACC) Board member, Synchronicity Theater, active member of the Global Council- Metro Atlanta Chamber (MACC), Atlanta Women in Business (AWIB), and high involvement with most of all Bi-lateral Chambers, Consulates, Trade offices, domestic and International business organizations.
